NTI resources

I have seen countless Art teachers posting all kinds of fun stuff for students to do while they are having non traditional instruction. I hope to post some fun videos soon. But for now enjoy these creative individuals who are going above and beyond for their students.
1. My favorite art teacher and blogger is super fun and hilarious.

2. This is so cool please enjoy Mo Willems. I think students will definitely know what book this guy draws.

3. Creativity Bingo from the Art of Education.

4. Art Hub for kids is great and had lots of drawing videos. The students love these.

5. Pop up paper sculptures from Davis Publications.

I will post more fun stuff tomorrow. Find a way to be creative today. Art is happiness. 🎨🖌️🖼️👩‍🎨

Special Requests

Many students have seen the projects we did two years ago and want to know if they will be able to do these as third graders. The answer is not easy and neither was storage of these beauties.
First graders really want to try their hands at these cute donuts as well.  Only with the help of a very energetic student teacher was I able to pull this off.  So bring on the student teachers and I will try these again this year.  Because they are so darn cute.

Summer is almost over.

I am delaying the inevitable beginning of the year tasks.  If I don't pick up my keys, I can continue to have an excuse for not starting on my room. If I can't find a custodian to help me move stuff around then I have another excuse to not begin. I have too many emails to delete is another excuse to not start hot gluing up my posters, hanging borders, organizing supplies to go on the table.  Truth is I am very excited to begin, but completely upmotivated at the same time. Weird huh?  I will yell at myself shortly to get up and get busy, but for now I will enjoy a few more minutes of doing nothing...well except blogging,  Happy New School Year... More to come... like pics of my untouched room and hopefully a finished welcoming Art Room.  ✌

Beginning the bloggin' journey with an end to the school year post.

Cleaning out the art room, throwing stuff away, organizing, leaving a bare room as a blank canvas for August.

So many great activiies this school year and now to spend the summer wondering how I can top this years awesomeness.

I will share projects soon, as a I continue to develop my detailed curriculum map and long range plans for next year.

In two weeks I will be attending an exciting PD and will post some of the things I learned that I can directly apply and implement in the Art Room .
